1 day left!!!!!!!!!!!! 12 pounds down!!!!! I should be in the 260's by tomorrow so yay! I am getting more and more nervous about surgery. I think being in the medical field can make you even more nervous because you KNOW pretty much everything they're going to do to you. I hope they give me some relaxy medicine in pre-op, cuz I'll probably be all worked up.
Anyway, I just woke up about an hour ago and it's all cloudy and drizzly outsite, booo!! Mike had to go into work for about 4 hours so he won't be home until 10. My ankle is still swollen and sore so no treadmill tonight and I'm kinda doubting it will be fixed by tomorrow either. I wonder how much weight I could have lost if I was able to exercise this past week. Oh well. I'll get some exercise cleaning the house.
I'm wondering if theres any last minute things I need to buy. I have Tylenol, heating pad, I'm ok in the food department I think. I was going to get Gas-X but I read people saying their doctor said it's pointless and doesn't really help. What do you guys think?
*Don't forget to set your clocks forward tonight!!!* Hurray for longer days!

I got the GAS-X anyway :) Don't forget a heating pad - that really made me feel better.
Woohoo - getting closer! You can do this!
2 days left..and 12lbs down.. those are great numbers! :) Good luck with everything!!
So close you can almost taste it.. LOL
Ashli - I've lived with an ice pack on my abdomen for the last two and a half days. I woke up from surgery with one on my sore port site, and it's really helped me. My hubby has to lay me down, and that always strains my ab muscles, so as soon as I'm laying, I put the ice on. I've also slept with it on my tummy these last two nights. It stays in place because I haven't been rolling at all.
Ashlin you have done an amazing job congrats!!! All the best with your surgrey I'll be thinking of you!! xxxx
I can't offer any advice, but I just wanted to say I'm so excited for you!!!
YAY...almost there! Chapstick was a blessing in the hospital when you wake up, and get the GasX, my doc said the same thing, but even if it was a placebo it made me feel better LOL (and hey, it's a solid!).
So happy you are almost there. Relax. It is pretty easy. I bought the dissolvable Gas-X but only used one. I also got Gravol dissovable but didn't have to use them either. I get really sick after anesthetic but they gave me a good shot of something and it worked. I highly recommend Benefibre-start today if you can. And take it twice a day for the first few days if you can. The codeine they give you will cause more discomfort because of constipation-it took me 4 days to poop after surgery and that was finally resorting to a laxative (not recommended as I was in such pain after). Will be waiting to see how you are doing. Thinking about you.
My biggest trick after surgery that made me feel better was that when I did lay down I would stack my pillows really high so I wasn't flat on my back. I slept so much better that way.
Just take it easy and don't try to do too much. When I got home from the hospital I took a shower right away and tried to do a bunch of stuff and I think I made myself feel worse because I did way too much.
Best of luck tomorrow!!! 12 pounds is a great start!
